Grandson

People have been telling me I'm great a grandson would be. I never imagined it to be near as good as they said it was.

What is a little fellow has been here 3 days and he is wonderful.

America has its Idiots!

We had to have the garage door repaired.

The Sears repairman told us that one of our problems was that
we did not have a 'large' enough motor on the opener.

I thought for a minute, and said that we had the largest one
Sears made at that time, a 1/2 horsepower.

He shook his head and said, 'Lady, you need a 1/4 horsepower.'
I responded that 1/2 was larger than 1/4..

He said, 'NO, it's not..' Four is larger than two.'       

We haven't used Sears repair since.

Windy in Arkansas

And I moved from west texas about 20 years ago and thought I had left the wind behind.  The last few weeks have seemed very windy here in arkansas and it has stopped me from taking my small boat out on the big waters.

Please wind and go back to oklahoma and texas.

Hear the wind blow love hear the wind blow... just do it somewhere else!

Tutoring in America!

Life in America is always concerned about our youth and if they are getting the education that is needed to get by in today's society.  They need help.   How they get that help may be changing in today's society also.  How is it changing?  Well, it used to be that the parents had all the time in the evenings to help with homework and other things but today it is difficult to do this in a single parent home or in a home where it takes a lot more time away from home to get the job done that pays the bills.

That is why online tutoring  may be the teaching and tutoring of the future.  Yes,  the reason that it may be the tutoring of the future is the fact that it is available and it is something that young people are already in tune with.  Yes, online tutoring takes the technology that children know and mold that with the tutoring that they need.  Suddenly the tutoring that they need might even seem more like play than learning.  It all depends on how it is presented and how it is accepted.

That is whey tutoring on line may be the future of helping our children learn.

Heber Springs/Lindsey's Resort and the Little Red River

Life in America needs refreshed.  That is why I am  taking a long weekend to refresh and to refresh some blogging ideas. During that time I  hopefully will be doing some blogging during the weekend but will surely be getting ideas for new stuff.

  Life in America lives in Arkansas and I find that there are many places close to home that are great for a few quick and easy days off.   At this time I am going to the Little Red River just outside Heber Springs, Arkansas.  We will be staying at Lindsey's Resort and greatly enjoying the water, the fishing, the cool breeze off the water and the simple relaxing and visiting with family.

Technology in America!

Life in America is all about technology.  Life in America likes television.  That is why things like direct tv  is very important.  Satellite Television is one of those technologies that I don't understand but I really like.  What is it that I like about satellite with services like directtv and the sites like www.dx3.net   .  Well, it is the services that they provide and the great programming.

When you have satellite television there is almost nothing that you can't watch right from your living room.  It is amazing too that you can record all of this at your leisure to watch when you want to watch it.  How cool is that?  Well, to me it is real cool.  I also have the services that they provide which allows me to pause and record the live television and skip things on the tv that I don't want to watch and then go straight to those things that I want to watch.  I now never miss a program that I want to see and I watch them on my own schedule.

Can you do all of that.  You probably could if you had these satellite services.  All I can say is that it is the right thing for me and I believe that if you do not have these types of technology services then you are missing something great in life.

That is what life in America is about today!

President in Touch with mainstream America

It really makes me feel good that the President of this United States of America has declared that it is ok for a man and a man to get married.

It makes me feel real good that this has allowed the President to feel like he is in touch with Main Street America, Hollywood.

It makes me feel real good that the President now has the money behind him of those people who experience real life.  Yes those in Hollywood.

How many of you find this an abomination to America.  Hollywood has no idea what is going on.  Nothing is real there.  That is why our President is so screwed up.  He has no idea about real life.  He has no idea what makes real America Tick.

Makes me feel real good.  What is next.  The President on the View.  Oh yeah - that is Today.
