Fishing in America

There are lots of things to fish for in America. I have never been much of a fisherman but I am learning to really enjoy the outdoors- just being there.

Yesterday was spent standing in the middle of the Little Red River trying to fly fish. You might put emphasis on the word fishing. I was not catching. A few people around were catching but I was not.

A man and his other came in and were both catching within a few minutes. Most others that were there were not.

We changed locations and as we got in the river there was a young lady down stream that was catching consistently. She caught five while I watched and fished.

There is a future guide and training in the future.

NFL Draft

It Took 25 spots for Denver to draft Tim Tebow in the NFL draft. They are taking a chance that Tebow can make a NFL quarterback.

Most believe that Tebow can't cut it in the NFL as a quarterback but maybe as another position.

Life in America would not be what it is if the author had not had great help in statistics. Statistics help was something that I needed as a Junior in High School and I even used a Statistics tutor for a short time in High School.

When I was in school all the way from K-12, I thought I was good in math and numbers. Then I came to my first Statistics problems. That was when the Statistics questions became very important to answer to be able to get out of High School. The Statistics answers did not come easy. What was I to do.

Manuel Willy

Willy started today by he and Mrs Willy working out in the yard. It had looked pretty bad for a while and it was time Willy made it a priority. Willy and the Ms. pulled out all of the grass and the weeds that had come in the front flowerbeds through the winter and now the early spring.

Willy and Ms. then went to Lowes and bought a whole lot of bags of mulch to go in the flowerbeds. This was then taken home and took and hour or two with both of us working to get it done.

It was then time to move to the back yard where Willy did something stupid about three years ago. Willy planted across the back fence 16 Red tip Photinas. This was a mistake because of two things. One they grow too fast and need lots of trimming. Second, Willy spent a bunch of money on these and then found out that these are very susceptible to a rust and will probably only last about five years. Yes, they are beginning to go fast.

Well, Willy spent about four hours trimming these bushes and then picking up the whole mess.

Needless to say Willy is worn out. Willy has decided that he no longer really enjoys Manual Labor.

Willy is worn out. - Maybe Willy is getting older or Maybe Willy is just lazy.

When is Vacation Time

Summer is approaching and I am trying to decide what we might do for vacation. Choices are abundant but time may be the issue.

The past few years we are considering vacations much more important than we have in the past. We are looking for places to go and ways to make it happen.

In the past year we have even came to the conclusion that their are places within an hour of the house that we can go to that are like a vacation. Within an hour of our house we have a world class horse race track, a river that has turned out the world champion brown trout, and various lakes and streams.

Vacation is where you are not necessarily where you go.

Where is my Driver

Life in America is nothing without our computers today. Recent travel showed me that almost everyone in the airport had their laptop, their Mac Book or their IPad. But who are they without their drivers.

What I am thinking of is the driver that makes that program work or the one that makes that web cam sync up so that you can talk across the cam to someone else. Yes, I have started up programs to see that dreaded warning that the drivers are corrupt or not there at all.

Well, what do you do when you need that driver download, or you need a new sound drivers to make your headphones work. Life at the Masters

The Masters Golf tournament is supposed to be very much a gentlemans game. Tiger at the Masters was under major scrutiny to see if he would clean up his temper and his language.

Well, he did some but it is amazing that CBS had a microphone on his every move and word. Then they criticized everything he said. Did they do that to anyone else. No. The issue that I have is that I saw many others say choice words but they did not have a mike tuned on them so it was not heard.

Was that fair to Tiger.

Asbestos - is there a Concern?

I have heard many advertisments lately about mesothelioma and other diseases that say that they might have been caused by asbestos exposure.

These statements make me wonder and want to know is their really a concern over asbestos exposure now, or as some of them say, many years ago. The things I want to know is their a concern, what is the concern and how concerned should I be? So, if I have these concerns, what sources can I use to find out if they are real or just a scare?

Did you ever have days when you just did not feel like it. Don't want to move, don't want to work, just don't want to.

Lets just take a nap and hold hands as we cross the street and maybe everything will be better tomorrow.

Well, now it is time for you to get your money through the real estate stimulus
package. Yes, this package is something that was given so that average Joe Homeowner could benefit and have motivation to buy or build a new home.

Have you gotten your share. Here are the ideas that are behind this:

The federal income tax credit for homebuyers has been extended and expanded to now include homeowners who wish to "move on" after 5 years of living in their current property, as well as first-time home buyers.

• First-time home buyers, or those who have not owned in the last three years, can receive up to an $8,000 tax credit
• Homeowners who have lived in a current home consecutively for 5 of the past 8 years can receive up to a $6,500 tax credit
• There may be no future extensions, so all qualified homebuyers are urged to act and have a written, binding contract by April 30, 2010 (close by June 30, 2010)
• Income limits are now $125,000 for singles, $225,000 for married couples with a $20,000 phase-out of the credit for both.

The question is - Are you thinking about a new home. If you are this is the time to buy. The reason is that you can now get up to an $8,000 bonus to buy before the deadline.
