Television Shapes America

In the 1940s, television started, stopped, started again and then took off. In the process, the new medium turned on the lives of rural residents connecting them to the rest of the world even more than newspapers or radio.
The first practical TV sets were demonstrated and sold to the public at the 1939 World's Fair in New York. The sets were very expensive and New York City had the only broadcast station.

When World War II started, all commercial production of television equipment was banned. Production of the cathode ray tubes that produced the pictures was redirected to radar and other high tech war uses.

Cape Kawanda in the Afternoon

Welcome to my guest post today.

--------------------------------------------
Thanks for the article from Jermaine Haynes

This afternoon I loaded the Kids into the wagon and after setting our Security Choice adt alarm system, headed for Pacific City, and Cape Kawanda, to hike the beach and dunes. I prefer the beach, while the Kids prefer the dunes where they can slide down after climbing to the top. They have way more energy than I do, so I usually find a nice spot to relax while watching them having a great time. Once they tire themselves out we can spend the rest of the afternoon leisurely hiking along the tide line looking for treasure.

We had a wonderful afternoon as we wandered down the beach watching the Gulls and other sea birds playing on the wind currents overhead while a commercial crabber worked their pots off shore. Connie spotted a dead jellyfish just above the current water line. The Kids spent several minutes examining their find before they were willing to continue our progress down the beach in hopes of discovering more interesting items.

I was so glad I had my camera with me when we came upon a mama Killdeer with her chicks. When she spied us she did the play dead act while the babies ran into a clump of beach grass, and I managed to get pictures of the Kids examining her from about 4 feet away.

States of these United States. Alabama

Life in America is about the beauty and the wonder and the knowledge of these United States. As a part of this blog in the future I am going to review briefly each state in alphabetical order. The first state is Alabama.

Alabama (Listeni /ˌæləˈbæmə/) is a state located in the southeastern region of the United States of America. It is bordered by Tennessee to the north, Georgia to the east, Florida and the Gulf of Mexico to the south, and Mississippi to the west. Alabama ranks 30th in total land area and ranks second in the size of its inland waterways. The state ranks 23rd in population with almost 4.6 million residents in 2006.[4]

From the American Civil War until World War II, Alabama, like many Southern states, suffered economic hardship, in part because of continued dependence on agriculture. Despite the growth of major industries and urban centers, white rural interests dominated the state legislature until the 1960s, while urban interests and African Americans were under-represented.[5] Following World War II, Alabama experienced growth as the economy of the state transitioned from agriculture to diversified interests in heavy manufacturing, mineral extraction, education, and technology. In addition, the establishment or expansion of multiple military installations, primarily those of the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force, added to state jobs.

Alabama is unofficially nicknamed the Yellowhammer State, after the state bird. Alabama is also known as the "Heart of Dixie". The state tree is the Longleaf Pine, the state flower is the Camellia. The capital of Alabama is Montgomery. The largest city by population is Birmingham. The largest city by total land area is Huntsville. The oldest city is Mobile, founded by French colonists.

Cabling Installation

In this electronic age most of our buildings, new construction and remodels, need cabling installation to keep up with their needs for things like internet, television, conferencing and many other needs.

This is where it makes great sense to have your cabling installation done by a trusted expert.  I have worked in a company where a non – professional was doing this type of installation.  This went fine until such time as their were some specialty needs that he could not perform well.  Well, what did they have to do?  They had to let him go and go out and find the right professional who could do the complete job.

Well, if what you are needing is cabling installation from a  national cabling company that performs large cabling installations in an entire building such as NYC then you may want to talk to this company, Mason Technologies.  They are experts in data, voice, fiber and structured cabling.  They will install what you need in  all the network data cabling, telephone voice and they can and have done this for thousands of locations

They do focus on business companies who want and need cable install in entire building on multiple floors. So if you have a company, you want to use them, because they are the best in the united states.

Boots for the American Worker!

Life in America is definitely about the America worker.  I am talking about the people that get out and do the physical work.  Life in America believes that these people are important to the heart and soul of America.  Yes, I am talking about the outdoors person, the military person, the lineman, the well driller, the farmer, the rancher the person who is out there doing there best to make America its best.

That is also why I believe that a company like Boots-USA.com who is out there to supply the footwear for these type of people.  Yes, they are supplying great boots such as Rocky Boots, boots from CAT, Wolverine, 5.11 Tactical, Bates,Rocky Boots, Converse, Danner and other top name brands.  Yes, to keep these people who would wear these type of footwear going is important and this company appears to be doing just that each and every day.

How do I know about all of this.  Well, because the Oil & gas industry is very productive in my area right now and many of the great Americans that I know are out in the gas field everyday wearing many of these great boots.  They tell many times how their rugged, steel toed boots help them every day.  I also have friends who hunt and fish as well as doing it myself.  Yes, I wear boots just like the above.  I also have friends in the military and they wear great boots that are often of these lines and maybe even from this company.

What do you wear.  Do you have a need for these boots.  If you do, you need to check out Boots-USA.com

Life in America and the President

President Obama and the Democrats are wondering what went wrong.  Go figure---
  • continued double digit inflation
  • continued war
  • continued major deficit
  • continued discontent over a mosque that Obama seems to support
  • Potosi
  • others
  • others

Tee Time in America.

It is time for everyone to know that it is time to go somewhere, take in the beach and play some golf. I am always looking for that perfect place to do all of that and more.  That is why I am always searching the internet and always looking at sites such as http://www.myrtlebeachseasideresorts.com/

This is a site that gives some great information about Myrtle Beach and a great resort with a great place where I believe I would like to go to play golf and for the wife to lay on the beach.  Yes, I might lay on the beach too.  You can bet that she probably is not going to play golf.  But if she were it would be obvious that if she was looking for some great golf packages Myrtle Beach has to offer than she would be looking at places such as www.myrtlebeachseasideresorts.com

Yes, I saw her looking the other night at the internet and I hope that is what she was looking for.  The reason that I would like this is that it is past time for vacation since we have not had one this year and I am ready to go.  I am ready for some golf and some beach.  What about you.

Strange Picture!

Some pictures are just too good to pass up.  Here is a Chicken sitting on a dog like it was a small chicken or an egg.  Who knows what goes through the mind of a chicken.  Next thing you know it may cross the road.

Bushari Group Real Estate - Boston Real Estate!

I visited the East Coast recently and while there I was tempted to look at real estate in the Boston area because it was so enticing. Would I be interested in living in that area. Well The Boston Real Estate market is well represented by a company known as Bushari Group Real Estate.

This company can give you a look at most things real estate in Boston area.  If you are interested in Boston Condos, Boston Luxury Real Estate, Boston Lofts, Boston Luxury Lofts or any other real estate in the Boston area, you should give them a look.

So the question is, do you like that area.  Would you like to maybe retire in a place where the lobster is cheaper, and where life to me seemed calm and easier.  If that area is a place you live now and want real estate information or if you are thinking of moving to that area, then check these folks out.  It will be worth your time.

That is my thoughts for now.

Blomus Stainless Steel - a Good Choice.

When you find yourself admiring a great home one of the things that you will admit is one of the standouts is something such as stainless steel appliances.  It just looks good and it looks expensive.  Well that is where the products made by blomus comes to play.   They make neat stainless steel accessories.

What does that mean for you?  Well, just think of the idea that someone is in your home and they are admiring the stainless steel appliances that you have.  What else might they admire.  Well if you have  blomus stainless steel mailboxes or maybe they notice something such as your blomus stainless steel fireplace accessories.    What do you think they are going to say.  Well, I will tell you that they will be impressed.  Why?   They are impressed because things like a stainless steel mailbox or stainless steel fireplace accessories says success.   They will think you have made it!

Lets take this whole thing a little bit further.   What if you have garden accessories that are stainless steel such as a great looking Blomus Stainless Steel Matte Table Top Torch .

Yes, this type of garden or yard accessory will set you apart from everyone else.  You will truly be outstanding in your field.   Looking good now is what I say.

So, if you want things to look good and really "POP" then put the stainless steel into your home and landscape.  Peoples heads will turn.

That is my thoughts on that.
