Oscars Over - yea!

Oscar Night is over
And I am so proud
the only thing better
If they played the music loud.

People keep on talking
accepting their prize
We really don't care
Just staring with glazed eyes

The movies are not known
The people are all blown
If it were a better party
we may think it more harty.

So what do you think of that.

Afraid of Bowling

From time to time I allow a guest post with some brilliant words to be written.  Hope you enjoy.

Written by my friend Teodoro Martin

It has been a very long time since I've been bowling, but I am planning on going this week. A couple of friends invited me to go along with them to the local bowling alley and spend the evening together.

To be honest, I am a little unsure of how it's going to work out. Since the last time I went bowling was at least 10 years ago, I am expecting that I will come out of it sore, and a loser.

The losing part doesn't really bother me, since my experience with bowling is practically nothing. It's the soreness I am not looking forward to. I have always thought that doing something that is going to cause you pain should not be something that is done.

But, I'm going to give it a shot. I will set the home security alarm (ADT SECURITY), brace myself with some pain pills, and head on over to meet them at the alley. I know I am probably being a wimp about it all, and, in the end, I'm likely to not feel as much as I expect.

I think the one thing that I am not looking forward to the most is how much my friends are going to kid me about my concerns.

What will probably do me the most good is to just remember to have fun.

The Oscars, America and the President

It really bothers me that I am watching the Oscars to start with.  I really don't care who won what and I sure don't care about all of those long speeches where someone I do not know is thanking someone else I do not know and they refuse to stop when the music goes off.

The next thing that bothers me is that America is in my opinion next to doomsday and the world is going to hell in a hand basket and the President has time to make a video talking about the great songs of America and what should be the greatest.   HELLO MR. PRESIDENT - THE COUNTRY IS GOING BROKE - YOU ARE TELLING THE COURTS THAT THEY DON'T HAVE TO ENFORCE THE LAWS OF THE LAND AND YOU SAY ONE THING AND YOU DO ANOTHER.

Get Inked at

Life in America could not do without the printer to the computer that writes all of this information.  Today’s society is tied to their computers and printers.  All of these printers need ink.  So where do you go to get ink?

A place that you might want to go is a place on the internet that seems to have all of the ink that you might need at great prices.  That place is

What kind of printer ink can you get there?  Well you can get Kodak printer ink there if that is what you need.  Kodak printers are very popular and the Kodak ink and Kodak ink cartridges are very much in demand.

You also must know that the prices there are great, the selections are wonderful and the website is easy to navigate so that you can find what you want in a short time, get it ordered and get it to your house so that you will never be out of ink.

So back to the original question that I ask on this subject.  What kind of printer do you have and does it use ink?  Well, the answer is they all use ink and you need a good supplier of that ink.

Why not give a shot.

Obama and the Courts.

I do not understand how a president can dictate how the courts rule and what they defend.  He says he believes the Defense of Marriage act is unconstitutional.

The American Spectator.
In an unexpected move (particularly in the midst of the Libyan crisis), President Obama signaled that he thinks the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) is unconstitutional, and he has instructed Attorney General Eric Holder and the Justice Department (DOJ) to cease defending cases brought against DOMA. The wording of this surprise announcement suggests that the decision is another instance of this president's politicizing the administration of justice: the White House ordering the Justice Department what it should do in order to appeal to the extreme elements of its political base. So much for Obama's pivot to the middle, not that there was much doubt about that after his kowtowing to the unions in the Wisconsin imbroglio.

Thanks Martina McBride - You got it Right.

Martina got it right as I knew she would.   I saw several Drivers singing with her.  You could not do that with Christina Aguilar.

Oh, say, can you see, by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, thru the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

Hansen Wholesale - Cool Place to Get a Fan

Life in America would not be the same without great ceiling fans.  A person can go back in history and look at the old stately homes in the south and see the great Ceiling Fans  that were out on the massive front porches of these elegant houses.  This could be seen in such films as Gone With the Wind.

Well, this does not mean that you have to have the great stately house to have a great Ceiling Fan.  Ceiling fans are a very common item in almost any home in America today.  If you are familar with ceiling fans you will also note that many if not most of the fans that you see today of quality are found at Hansen Wholesale.    You may know these fans because you my note that you have Hunter ceiling fans, Minka Aire ceiling fans, Casablanca ceiling fans, Fanimation Ceiling Fans or Emerson Ceiling fans.   These are all found at Hansen Wholesale.

Yes, I am not only a fan of just any ceiling fan, buy the fans in my home are all the brand fans named above.  Where do you look then for your fans.  You might want to check out Hansen Wholesale Ceiling Fans

So, why not Find out who makes the Best Ceiling Fans here!    You will be cool if you do.

Roman Grinev Photography

So you live in and around Maryland and you are looking for someone who can capture those great pictures of a special occasion.  Who do you call other than Roman Grinev Photography.

Why would you call Roman Grinev Photography?   Well, you must know that there are many Wedding Photographers in Maryland but after visiting their website I would like to offer the suggestion that there is really only one great Wedding Photographer in Maryland
that can produce such stunning photographs as are deserved at your special moment of a lifetime.  Yes, your wedding deserves the best and Roman Grinev Photography appears to provide just that.  Yes, it appears that they can take the simplest moments of your wedding and capture those moments into lasting memories.

Having gone through a wedding in recent past, I can tell you that these things are easily talked about but not as easily delivered.  That is what makes the difference between a photographer and a great photographer.  That is what makes the difference between taking pictures at a wedding and capturing memories for ever.

Which do you want, a set of pictures or great memories captured for posterity.  That is why you would want to check out Roman Grinev Photography.

If you want more information about this please visit their site.

Valentine's Day

Life in America is all about Valentine's Day.

The question is where did this day come from?

Was their a St Valentine?

Was there a patron saint of love?

Was there a Greek God or Goddess of Love that brought this all about?

There are varied beliefs of what the origin of Valentines Day is.  However, I believe it can be summed up in one word.

Chocolate the Candy of Choice

Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate, what more needs to be said.  It is almost Valentine’s Day and chocolate is the candy of choice and the gift of choice.  Sure she is watching her weight, but flowers and chocolate should be what she gets because that is what is expected.

Sure, she will say something like don’t get me flowers or candy, but what she might really mean is if you don’t get me flowers and candy you are s dirt bag.  Don’t be a dirt bag.  Go online to See’s Candies and get her some chocolate.  There are great choices at reasonable prices.

So, if you get nothing else from this post, lets go back to the original sentence of the post.  Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate.

Do you get the point.

Global Warming

Life in America is very cold right now.  I am sitting in my home in Central Arkansas and there is about 10 inches of snow outside and it is supposed to be about 12 degrees tonight.  Arkansas has had record snow falls this year and it all seems a little strange when it comes to global warming.

I thought this global warming thing meant that the earth was heating up.  I thought that this meant that things were moving back to a time when the earth was warming up and getting out of kelter on the warm side. I thought that things were screwed up on the warmer side.

It appears that it is global cooling.

This really confuses me.

Harassment by Orlando Police?

Life in America is all about respect for authority.  There may be times that I do not agree with authority but the respect is still there and fair treatment to fellow human beings is important.  That is why the story about police harassment in the Orlando area surprises me.  I read the story about harassment and I do not know whether to believe it or not.  The story almost sounds contrite and conceived in someone’s mind.

You can take a look at the Police department site at the link above and see what you think of them.  Are they the type that would harass someone for no reason or are they good and honest cops.

All of this seems like something out of a fairytale to me.  Maybe if you live in the Orlando area you might check it out and keep your guard up.

What are your thoughts.

Christina Aguilera - Here are Words to Star Spangled Banner.

Oh, say, can you see, by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hail'd at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, thro' the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watch'd, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof thro' the night that our flag was still there.
O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?
